Magnite one-pager

In episode 25, Albert and I took a deeper look at Magnite, one of the fifteen companies in our 2021 model portfolio, and a stock that we’re expecting to be among the most volatile of our picks for this year.

Going forwards, we’ll prepare a one-page summary whenever we deep-dive a stock on the podcast, building up a library of content that we can look back on at year-end to see how the investment thesis actually played out.

The one-pager highlights the key positive and negative points we see in Magnite as a potential investment, however, we’ve fairly deliberately not provided a buy/sell recommendation – as we say time and again, an investor needs to do their own due diligence. We’ve both decided that Magnite is right for our portfolios (and indeed we’ve committed to investing at least 2% in each of the model portfolio picks), but it may not be right for you – you really need to look at any investment in the context of your personal financial situation, planned holding period, risk tolerance, and broad understanding of the sector.

Oh, it wasn’t terribly relevant to my own investment thesis, but I found it really odd that for a prominent player in the advertising space, Magnite has such shockingly poor branding. It looks like a flamingo having a pretty bad day… 🦩🤮
