Investment Review day 22 of 50: Cloudflare $NET
Cloudflare is a global cloud platform designed to make the Internet secure, private, fast, and reliable.
I’ve navigated my $NET investment pretty sharply, buying in March 2021, and then reducing my exposure by two thirds when the valuation ran rather ahead of itself just eight months later for a rapid 250% gain. I readded almost a year to the day later at my lowest ever cost price, but then trimmed once more in Decemeber, as the valuation seemed to be once more getting ahead of itself.
This remains a stock I am keeping on a short leash – dollar-based net retention (how much revenue a company retains from existing customers over time) is consistently decelerating, and that’s a concerning metric for investors.
